There are more than 100 excellent restaurants within a 10 minute taxi ride from V2nola, including those found in the Marigny, Bywater, French Quarter and Central Business District (CBD), so a complete listing is beyond the scope of this website. However, within a convenient walking distance from V2nola there are a number of superb restaurants offering a wide selection of local and ethnic cuisine with reasonable pricing. Silk Road is where India and Asia meet the South. For decades this internationally recognized fusion restaurant has been serving unique combinations of Indian, Asian and Creole food. They are known for their rich curries, creamy lemongrass crab bisque and their house specialty, sesame crusted salmon with wasabi beurre blanc over jasmine rice. They can accommodate vegetarian and vegan preferences and everything they make is locally sourced and fresh.

A quiet, classy affair inside the Hotel Peter and Paul, a former church and rectory, with multiple dining spaces, inside and out. The parlors feel like a private club and the outdoor courtyard is very charming. The menu is split into small and large plates, fresh and healthy, with lots of veggies and salads. Some dinner-sized portions are served including duck confit and pork loin, although the menus do change not infrequently.

Hearty Southern fare served in a cozy bungalow with sidewalk seating. It is a quintessential Marigny neighborhood eatery providing New Orleans style breakfast foods including biscuits and grits and a favorite, “Crabby Wife” (two eggs on a crab cake smothered with crawfish étouffée). Brunch/lunch foods are also available including po-boys and sandwiches. It is inexpensive and one does not leave hungry.
